Kerala Piravi

on November 1st, Kerala Piravi is celebrated to mark the anniversary of Kerala becoming an independent state in 1956. Kerala was split into three  areas before that:  Malabar, Cochin, and Travancore

The purpose of Kerala Day is to commemorate the union of the above said three provinces and several outlying areas under the rule of various rulers. It is a day when people celebrate their culture, rich history, and Malayalam heritage with a variety of festivities and celebrations.

Kerala is isolated from the Western Ghats mountain ranges and the state itself has developed a unique  culture within the subcontinent, not only with its diversity but also the  religious tradition  and Malayalam language… continued … next edition
