Salsa- Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 5 medium ripe tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 cloves of Garlic                           
  • 2 tablespoons of Basil
  • 2 tablespoons of Parsley
  • 1 Can of tomato sauce
  • 1-2 spoons of Olive oil
  • 4 teaspoons of Lime Juice
  • ½-1teaspoons of Salt
  • Green Chiles/Jalapeno (Add according to your spice preference-mild/hot/spicy-optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of Cilantro (optional)

Directions:

  1. Chop the tomatoes and the onions.
  2. Mince the Basil, Parsley, and garlic.
  3. Mince the Green Chiles. Mince according to your preferred spice level (Optional).
  4. Combine the above ingredients in a large bowl.
  5. In a second bowl thoroughly mix the tomato sauce, lime juice, salt and olive oil.
  6. Add the sauce into the large bowl of chopped vegetables and mix well.
  7. Refrigerate and sprinkle minced cilantro on the salsa before serving (optional).
